Are you a mother of an autistic child and currently pregnant? Univ of Oregon seeks subjects for Vitamin D supplementation study

This study is looking at mothers who have already had one autistic child and who are now pregnant in the 1st trimester.  The mother is given 5000IU/day of Vitamin D  to test whether more aggressive supplementation is protective.

There is no “placebo” arm, they are simply giving every mother the 5000IU and then following them, to see if this lowers the incidence of a second autistic child.

You can participate from afar.  This is exciting research! Please forward this to any woman you know in this situation, and/or any pediatricians, occupational therapists, autism centers, etc to spread the word.

Thank you!
